As the 2023 Angels Baseball season nears its close, EVA Air President Clay Sun presented a check in the amount of $118,000 to the Angels Baseball Foundation prior to the Angels game on September 26, 2023 at Angel Stadium. Angels Baseball Chairman Dennis Kuhl accepted the check on behalf of the Angels Baseball Foundation. EVA pledged to donate $1,000.00 to the Angels Baseball Foundation for each home run hit by an Angels player during the 81 regular season 2023 home games, and the 118 home runs hit by Angels players so far are the 5th most by a team at their home ballpark in MLB this season. The Angels will conclude their 2023 season on October 1 when they take on the Oakland Athletics at Angel Stadium. EVA’s donation will be adjusted based on the final home run total at that time.
“It’s been exciting for EVA Air, our passengers and social media followers to be invested in the Angels’ success this season,” said EVA President Sun. “EVA passengers and followers have cheered every Angels home run hit at the Big A and closely followed our climbing donation tally. The teamwork and training the Angels display in every game is exemplary. Our EVA team and Angels Baseball have a lot in common. EVA provides its exceptional level of service because of our own teamwork and training.”

EVA has been an Angels sponsor since 2018 and upped its commitment this year with its donation pledge. Established in 2004 by Arte and Carole Moreno, the Angels Baseball Foundation focuses on improving education, healthcare, arts and sciences and community-related youth programs. Together with the Los Angeles Angels, the two organizations have contributed more than $24 million in value toward local causes.
