In a heartfelt celebration of genuine heroes, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo welcomed the families of brave Aircrew Officers from the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service, Tamworth and Belmont units.

The morning recognised the dedicated efforts of Kirk Kelly, Luke Frost, Owen Yabsley and Sean Flanagan in saving lives throughout their communities and acknowledged the sacrifices made by their families standing behind them.

Keepers at the Darling Harbour attractions were thrilled to host the families for an exclusive pre-opening tour of the PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE activity trail. Joined by Mighty Pup Skye, they exchanged stories of air rescue missions, solved clues, discovered animal super-powers and shared a few surprise animal encounters.

“Our four-year-old daughter was beside herself with excitement when she heard she’d meet Skye at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo! She adores Skye, who has a very similar Air-Rescue job to her Daddy!” laughed Kirk Kelly, Aircrew Officer – Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service (Tamworth Helicopter Base).

“The team is humbled to welcome these selfless heroes and their families, with a morning of joy, entertainment, and gratitude. We were delighted to share our magic and to listen to some of their fascinating career highlights,” commented Richard Dilly, General Manager, SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo.

Throughout the school holidays, during daily meet-and-greets with Skye, children can capture a photo and create a lasting memory of their SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo adventures, in celebration of the new PAW PATROL: THE MIGHTY MOVIE currently in cinemas, capturing the imagination of young future heroes.

Guests can also discover a range of other creatures with superpowers, including sub-Antarctic penguins, Pig the rescue dugong and thousands of fish at SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium. There’s also Princess the cassowary, freshwater crocodiles and many more Australian animals at WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo.

Adventurers can save over 30% and experience both missions with a Sydney Big Ticket Two-Attraction Pass, offering access to SEA LIFE Sydney Aquarium and WILD LIFE Sydney Zoo: www.visitsealife.com/sydney/tickets-passes/tickets/multiple-attractions

Movie details: When a magical meteor crash lands in Adventure City, it gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers, transforming them into The MIGHTY PUPS! For Skye, the smallest member of the team, her new powers are a dream come true. But things take a turn for the worse when the pups’ archrival Humdinger breaks out of jail and teams up with Victoria Vance, a meteor-obsessed mad scientist, to steal the superpowers and turn themselves into supervillains. With the fate of Adventure City hanging in the balance, the Mighty Pups have to stop the supervillains before it’s too late, and Skye will need to learn that even the smallest pup can make the biggest difference.
