Tourism Fiji have received two prestigious accolades that have elevated Fiji’s reputation as a premier travel destination – 2023 PATA Gold Award Winner in the category of “Marketing (National-Pacific) – Where Happiness Comes Naturally” and Oceania’s Leading Tourist Board 2023 at the World Travel Awards.

The 2023 PATA Gold Award, an honor presented by an independent judging panel, is a testament to Tourism Fiji’s marketing capabilities. Recognised in the category of “Marketing (National-Pacific) – Where Happiness Comes Naturally,” this award acknowledges Tourism Fiji’s outstanding efforts in showcasing the natural beauty, warmth, and genuine happiness that define Fiji, and were the foundation of the new brand platform launched earlier this year.

“It’s an honor to achieve such a prestigious award as we work hard every day to ensure authentic Fiji, and natural joy, beauty and range of experiences Fiji has to offer is out there in the minds of every possible traveller across our global markets. Such awards reaffirm our work, and we are proud to represent Fiji,” said Tourism Fiji Chief Marketing Officer, Srishti Narayan.

Moreover, Tourism Fiji is thrilled to be named Oceania’s Leading Tourist Board for 2023 by the World Travel Awards, surpassing formidable contenders such as Tourism Australia, Tourism New Zealand. This title cements Fiji’s significance as a force in the global tourism arena. It reinforces the hard work and dedication of Tourism Fiji in promoting Fiji to travellers worldwide.

In addition, through effective marketing strategies, Fiji has topped recent travel trends. Respected as an industry-leading trend forecaster, Virtuoso shared an outlook on the wellness travel industry where Fiji was named as an emerging wellness destination alongside Thailand, Bali and Iceland. Fiji also made it to Urban List’s six new top destinations based on their audience interests, and one of their new ‘Vacay’ hubs.

Tourism Fiji attributes these achievements to the collaborative efforts of its passionate team, the guidance of its board, and the support of the Fijian Government.

“Our heartfelt appreciation also extends to the entire Fijian tourism industry, whose unwavering commitment to excellence has contributed the growth of Fiji as a premier travel destination. It is through their tireless dedication that Fiji continues to shine on the world stage. Additionally, we express our deepest gratitude to every Fijian citizen for so warmly welcoming visitors – a trait that resonates deeply with all who visit our islands,” added Ms Narayan.

While Tourism Fiji appreciates these awards, it is already looking ahead with a range of new projects across destination growth, sustainability, and global marketing underway for the last quarter of 2023.
