Walt Disney’s magical touch has once again sprinkled its fairy dust, this time on the oceans of Southeast Asia. The announcement of ‘The Disney Adventure’, Disney Cruise Line’s latest Singapore-bound ship, has set the cruise world abuzz.

During a much-anticipated reveal at the Destination D23 Event in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, Disney Cruise Line President Thomas Mazloum proudly announced the ship’s name, which resonates with exploration and fantasy.

The Disney Adventure promises a sea journey and a voyage into the heart of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel narratives. Envision sailing into a realm echoing every corner of the Disney universe – where you’re watching stories and living them.

Guests aboard this vessel are in for a treat, with spaces that emanate fantasy and discovery. From the intricate designs inspired by beloved Disney tales to novel experiences that remain true to the Disney brand, everything is tailored for a magical experience. Furthermore, the ship ensures that the trademark entertainment, impeccable dining, and outstanding guest service that Disney Cruise Line is celebrated for remain at its core.

The Disney Adventure’s Southeast Asia stint isn’t just significant for Disney fans; it’s monumental for Singapore and the broader region. A groundbreaking collaboration between Disney Cruise Line and the Singapore Tourism Board will see the ship anchored exclusively in Singapore for a span of five years starting in 2025.

Why Singapore? Singapore is a dominant cruise nucleus in Southeast Asia with its world-class aviation links, unrivalled port facilities, and strategic geographic position. Notably, the region boasts over 40 UNESCO World Heritage Sites, making it a hotspot for travellers.

The ship, an engineering marvel, stretches a whopping 208,000-gross-ton. Currently, under construction at the MV Werften shipyard in Wismar, Germany, the project falls under the trusted helm of Meyer Werft.
