Marriott InternationalMarriott International, Inc. has unveiled its 50th hotel property in Thailand – the Madi Paidi Bangkok, part of the Autograph Collection, marking a significant achievement in the hospitality sector.

This move underscores the company’s dedication to the Thai market and showcases its commitment to robust expansion over the coming years. Marriott’s belief in the industry’s resurgence and Thailand’s status as a top-tier travel haven is unwavering. By the close of 2024, the hotel giant projects adding another ten properties, spanning its luxury, premium, select, and extended stay brands.

Mr Jakob Helgen, Area Vice President of Marriott International for Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia & Myanmar, commented, “This 50th hotel launch in Thailand represents a crucial point in our journey spanning 27 years in the country. Such an achievement owes a great deal to our valued partners, hotel proprietors, and franchisees.”

He further stated, “Having established 50 hotels across over 10 Thai locales under 15 unique brands, we’re proud to offer accommodations that encapsulate Thailand’s allure for both local and international guests. With our team’s unwavering commitment, we aim to continue revolutionizing hospitality, ensuring unparalleled experiences.”

The luxury segment will witness a significant entrant, with the Ritz-Carlton brand debuting in Bangkok by 2024. The Ritz-Carlton Bangkok, located within the upcoming One Bangkok multi-purpose project on the esteemed Wireless Road, promises to fuse the iconic service of the Ritz-Carlton brand with the quintessence of Thai hospitality.

Regarding its premium offerings, Marriott International boasts an extensive portfolio that includes brands like Marriott Hotels, Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, Westin, and Le Méridien, among others. The launch of the Madi Paidi Bangkok signifies the introduction of the Autograph Collection Hotels in the nation, celebrated for its unique approach to design and hospitality. Meanwhile, the Tribute Portfolio brand is set to enter the Thai market, with the Tribute Portfolio Metropole Bangkok scheduled for a 2024 launch.

The upcoming years are set to see other notable openings, such as two Marriott Executive Apartments in Sukhumvit locales, the Le Méridien Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort in 2023, and the flagship Marriott Hotels’ entrance in Khao Lak come 2024.

Select service brands from Marriott, which act as a vital growth catalyst for the corporation, offer a spectrum of moderately priced options, incorporating brands like Courtyard by Marriott and Moxy Hotels. Moxy Hotels is set to introduce its dynamic ambience with the Moxy Bangkok Ratchaprasong, slated for launch in one of the city’s most vibrant districts later this year. Moreover, Courtyard by Marriott aims to bolster its presence with two more properties, one near the Suvarnabhumi International Airport and another in Phuket, with expected launches in late 2023 and 2024.

Marriott International’s commitment to Thailand is palpable, with its vast footprint of 50 hotel properties across 15 distinct brands in prime Thai destinations like Bangkok, Phuket, and Chiang Mai.
