Multi-Golden Guitar winners Lachlan Bryan and Catherine Britt, performing as The Pleasures, launch their debut album, The Beginning of the End, which was released on August 4.
The album hit the ARIA Top 20 Australian Country Albums Chart at No. 2.
They will launch the album at the Great Northern Muster Club on Saturday night, August 26, but also perform separately across the weekend solo and Lachlan will be with his band, The Wildes, as well.
“I’ve been coming to or following the Muster since 2010, but this year is the most musically diverse and interesting lineup yet,” Lachlan said.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of it, with both The Wildes and The Pleasures, and it seems like the perfect place for the live launch of our debut record.”
As well as being part of the Legends at Sunset, Melinda Schneider will launch her new single, released on August 25, on the Optus Hill Stage that same evening.
The new single, The Story of My Life (The next chapter) is an updated version of the award-winning artist’s hit single, The Story of My Life, which celebrates its 21st anniversary this year.
Angus Gill will be joined by a few special guests for his album launch at the Great Northern Muster Club on Thursday night, August 24, with his album, Departure & Arrival, released the following day.
“I’m very excited to launch my new album Departure & Arrival at the Muster, with a full band and my good mate Oz rock legend Billy Miller from The Ferrets joining me,” he said.
“The new record was recorded live in the studio, no click track, no bells and whistles, so I’m looking forward to bringing that raw energy to the Great Northern Muster Club stage on Thursday night. It’s gonna be rocking!”
The NSW Mid-North Coast artist is no stranger to the festival in the forest.
“I’ve got fond memories of coming to the Muster as a kid, entering the talent search, attending workshops and meeting artists I’d looked up to,” Angus said.
“It’s been a few years in between drinks, but I’m stoked to be making my Muster return this year.”
Continuing the Golden Guitar-winning artists theme, Ashleigh Dallas heads to the festival in the forest with her new single, Sweet For You, aimed to get the crowd up and dancing when she closes the Great Northern Muster Club on Sunday, August 27.
“The song, itself, is a feel good classic toe-tapping, hand clapping country song,” the five-time Golden Guitar winner said.
“I thought it would be a perfect part of the set when I return to the Gympie Music Muster as I’ll be playing fiddle and it’ll be a joyous part of the set.”
The Tamworth singer-songwriter said the Muster was one of the premier music festivals in Australia, so she wanted to mark the occasion with the launch of her single, which is released on August 25.
“I envision everyone in the Muster Club clapping and dancing along with the song on Sunday night,” Ashleigh said.
Also launching her single is young Queensland singer-songwriter Maddie Cail who releases her next single, Drink With Me, on August 25.
Maddie will launch the single during her songwriters round on August 25 and her performance on August 26.
Artists will also be performing a range of new and unreleased songs across the festival program, and Muster is the place to be to catch these songs live next weekend.
