Local triathlete and ironman champion, Craig “Crowie” Alexander OAM, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at this year’s Australian Cruise Association Conference breakfast on Friday, 1 September.

The breakfast session is the final event on the Annual Conference program, before the members break for the Annual General Meeting, and always proves to be a favourite among attendees as it attracts motivational speakers passionate about their chosen subject.

“Crowie” ran his first triathlon in 1993 at the age of 20 and went on to become a three-time Ironman Triathlon World Champion and two-time winner of the Ironman 70.3 (Half Ironman) breaking numerous records throughout his career.

He was awarded the Order of Australia in 2015 and inducted into the Triathlon Australia Hall of Fame in 2022. He now delivers coaching, consulting and training camps.

“Craig embodies the theme of our conference this year Full Steam Ahead,” said Jill Abel, CEO of the Australian Cruise Association. “His incredible passion and commitment to his field will undoubtedly be an inspiration to us all in our personal and professional lives.  We are delighted that he was able to join us.”

The breakfast is being sponsored by ACA member company, Cruise Tourism Partners, management and tourism consultants specialising in the cruise tourism business.

The breakfast will be held at the Novotel Wollongong Northbeach, host hotel for the conference.
