Renowned as one of Bangkok’s most exclusive gastronomic events, the World Gourmet Festival is back for its 23rd iteration from 19th to 24th September 2023, boasting a dazzling constellation of chefs with a combined 17 Michelin stars. Set to grace the halls of the Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, and this week-long culinary celebration promises to be a haven for gourmands, featuring twelve internationally acclaimed chefs from the culinary corners of the globe, including Spain, Italy, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, Bahrain, and Thailand.
Breaking tradition, this year’s World Gourmet Festival will extend its reach beyond Bangkok’s city limits. Some of the esteemed visiting chefs will journey to the tropical delights of Phuket and Koh Samui to delight audiences with their epicurean masterpieces.

Among the galaxy of culinary titans confirmed for the 23rd World Gourmet Festival are Thomas Bühner, Jordi Artal, Kiko Moya Redrado, Toshiharu Sunayama, Jimmy Lim, Daniele Lippi, Enrico Marmo, Theodor Falser, Barry Quek, Arne Riehn, Tala Bashmi, and Phol Tantasathien. This elite assembly encompasses an array of critically acclaimed and award-winning chefs, ranging from Michelin star recipients to regionally recognized culinary virtuosos.
Throughout the Festival, each visiting chef will be the toast of the town, hosting up to two dinners in the hotel’s prestigious eateries: Biscotti, Café Wolseley, Spice Market, Shintaro, and Guilty. Local legends Arne Riehn and Phol Tantasathien will curate indulgent afternoon tea sessions in the Lobby Lounge.
Tickets for the inaugural Constellation of The Stars Gala Dinner are already in high demand, featuring five chefs presenting diners with an exquisite five-course menu in Anantara Siam’s grand ballroom. Enrico Marmo, Theodor Falser, Barry Quek, Jimmy Lim, and Arne Riehn will unveil their tantalizing offerings on 19th September.
Over the course of the Festival, each participating chef will express their culinary philosophy through a distinct menu. Highlights include Barry Quek’s homage to Singaporean-inspired modern European cuisine, Jordi Artal’s stimulating ‘five senses’ gastronomy, Theodor Falser’s authentic Italian fare with a natural twist, and Kiko Moya Redrado’s traditional Mediterranean delights.
Further foodie events include the highly anticipated World Gourmet Brunch on 24th September, featuring unique dishes prepared by Michelin-starred chefs Jordi Artal, Kiko Moya Redrado, Toshiharu Sunayama, and Daniele Lippi.
This year’s festival also promises to quench Bangkok’s thirst for unique beverages. Notable mixologists from the World’s 50 Best Bars and Asia’s 50 Best Bars, including Andrew Ho, Saan Dhakal, and Ronnaporn Kanivichaporn, will take over the Aqua Bar from 19th to 24th September.
Adding an educational touch, chefs Arne Riehn and Phol Tantasathien will hold interactive cooking classes, catering to aspiring chefs and industry professionals keen on refining their culinary prowess.
The Festival extends its culinary conquests to Anantara Layan Phuket Resort and Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort on 23rd September, with exclusive dinners presented by chefs Enrico Marmo and Theodor Falser.
Demonstrating the event’s ethos of giving back, the 23rd World Gourmet Festival pledges its support to the Foundation for the Welfare of Rajavithi-Girls’ Home. Portions of dinner ticket sales and auction proceeds will be donated to the Foundation, contributing towards quality education, medical care, and life skills training.
