Custom-designed in collaboration with Triton Submarines, Scenic Neptune II features the latest technology, accommodating up to eight guests and an expert pilot. The submersible will deliver captivating and awe-inspiring discovery excursions into the remarkable World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. Diving up to 200 metres below the surface, Scenic Neptune II’s spacious interior and crystal-clear acrylic sphere will provide unrestricted views, for complete immersion in the mesmerising vistas beneath the surface. Guest safety is also paramount, with comprehensive Safe Return to Surface procedures and multiple fail-safes in the submersible design.
Scenic Eclipse II will be operating in protected marine environments, such as the Great Barrier Reef, and it has many innovative technical features, including GPS Dynamic Positioning that holds the ship in position, negating the need to drop anchor on ecologically sensitive seabeds. An Advance Azipod propulsion system which minimises noise and vibration to reduce disturbance, improve maneuverability and reduce fuel consumption, as well as the latest wastewater treatment systems to protect marine life.
