As Crystal Cruises sets sail into a new era under the stewardship of A&K Travel Group, their flagship vessel Crystal Serenity is dazzling the world once again. After extensive refurbishment costing millions, the cruiser took off from Marseille for its first voyage post-makeover, signalling a remarkable resurgence of the cruise line.
The Crystal Serenity, a spacious haven with an impressive space-to-guest ratio (1 to 93.1 cu. ft.), is designed to provide guests with an unsurpassed level of luxury and service. The refurbished liner offers larger suites, enhanced public areas, and an array of award-winning dining experiences. Accommodating 740 guests, the vessel brings new heights of opulence and excitement to the journeys, leading to the most coveted destinations globally.

Following its inaugural voyage from Marseille to Lisbon, Crystal Serenity will set its compass towards Northern Europe. Guests will be taken on a mesmerizing journey across the UK, Ireland, and Iceland. The voyage continues across the Americas, from Canada’s breathtaking landscapes to Cartagena’s vibrant culture in Colombia. It then embarks on the 2024 World Cruise, a highly anticipated 125-night journey from San Diego or Miami, covering 29 countries and 62 stunning destinations.
The guest rooms and suites, redesigned by top-notch cruise ship architectural firm GEM, reflect a contemporary elegance. Neutral tones and subtle pastel colours give a tranquillity that matches the oceanic surroundings. Along with larger suites and guest rooms, two new categories have been added, the Jr. Crystal Penthouse Suite and Single Guest Room with Ocean View, specifically targeting solo travellers.
Eleven exquisite dining venues on the ship cater to every palate, including Master Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa’s only Nobu restaurant at sea, Umi Uma, and the sumptuous dessert bar Scoops Ice Cream Bar. The Italian restaurant, Osteria D’Ovidio, serves fine Italian cuisine crafted by Crystal’s own expert chefs.
Crystal’s new spa concept, Aurōra, is another highlight, promising the ultimate serene wellness experience at sea. With a wide array of treatments, including signature facials and massage treatments, Aurōra will offer guests a holistic wellness experience. Aiding this is the recent appointment of Dalila Roglieri as Head Nutritionist for the brand.
As Crystal Serenity revamps and sets sail, her sister ship Crystal Symphony follows suit. Crystal Symphony is currently under renovation and is scheduled for her inaugural voyage post-renovation on Sept. 1 from Athens.
