The American Eagle marks the inauguration of the much-anticipated Coastal Cats series from American Cruise Lines, with the following four vessels already under construction at Chesapeake Shipbuilding, highlighting the company’s progressive approach in the industry.
The legacy behind the ‘American Eagle’ title dates back to 1972 when American Cruise Lines introduced their first-ever vessel. Today, this 100-passenger ship is set to transform the cruising landscape with its fusion of luxury river cruising, easy access, and expedition adventure, making it a truly distinctive offering in the U.S. market.
As it heads to Massachusetts, the ‘American Eagle’ is all set to sail its inaugural passenger cruise, embarking on an all-American voyage along the East Coast. The ship’s maiden cruise is slated for August 14th, 2023, following the company’s well-loved 8-Day Cape Codder itinerary, commencing and concluding in Boston, MA.
Charles B. Robertson, President & CEO of American Cruise Lines, conveyed the company’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of American coastal exploration. He said, “American Eagle is the flagship in American Cruise Lines’ new series of small Coastal Cats, which are unlike anything else available in the U.S. market.”
Hot on the heels of ‘American Serenade,’ their 6th modern riverboat, American Cruise Lines has once again showcased its pioneering spirit with ‘American Eagle.’ This commitment to innovation is expected to culminate with the November 2023 introduction of ‘American Glory,’ the second Coastal Cat in this series.
With accommodation for just 100 passengers, American Eagle encompasses four decks, a striking catamaran bow, and tastefully designed interiors. The ship offers private balcony accommodations across various stateroom sizes and plush suites. Other amenities include a spacious viewing deck, indoor and outdoor lounges, a main restaurant, a casual café, and a fitness centre, all catering to a luxury cruise experience.
