In a magnificent show of chilling glamour and ghoulish festivity, the awe-inspiring Horrorween event returns to Australia, promising a more extensive and more intense Halloween experience than ever. This year, the monstrous celebration will extend its ghoulish grasp to an entire weekend, covering not just one but numerous sought-after locations in the city, adding to the anticipation of the merrymakers.

Horrorween, a renowned annual Halloween gathering, sets the bar higher, seeping its bewitching charm into some of the city’s most beloved queer spaces, enticing hotels, and trendy hotspots.

The iconic Hordern Pavilion will be the heart of this chilling festivity on October 28. The legendary establishment will transform into a blood-soaked, supernatural maze, ready to engulf party-goers in a thrilling experience of darkness and fun.

This year’s line-up features some of the best queer talents from all over the globe. The roster is spearheaded by Brook Lynn Hytes from Canada’s Drag Race and Kween Kong and Hannah Conda, the close contenders from RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under season 2. The crowd is in for an evening of hair-raising entertainment from these esteemed performers.

Queer international DJs such as Ben Bakson, GSP, and Caca Werneck will ensure the crowd moves to the beat alongside many homegrown Australian DJs. In addition, a group of enchanting drag queens and mysterious performers will keep the crowd entertained throughout the eerie night.

Party-goers will find professional make-up and unique FX stations at their disposal to assist in morphing into their spine-chilling alter-egos. And for those who thirst for the thrill, the dreaded Scare Zone of Horrorween, a terrifying journey filled with blood-curdling screams and goosebumps-inducing moments, awaits.

The Oxford House, a chic hotel in the city centre, will take on a spooky avatar as HORRORHOUSE to add to the excitement. A concept hotel hosting the exclusive pre-party by the pool on October 27, HORRORHOUSE offers ticket-holders the opportunity to interact with their favourite artists and fellow attendees before diving into the official launch party at Universal.

Horrorween’s spectacle extends beyond just the main event. For the party enthusiasts who wish to keep the energy going, there will be two official after-parties: Déjàboo at Universal and Morning Gory at HOME in Darling Harbour—both promise hours of ceaseless entertainment, dance, and music, guaranteeing to turn the night into an unforgettable memory.
