Set to debut next to the well-known Cambridge Hotel, the latter is also preparing for an extensive overhaul, poised to reemerge as the second ADGE Hotel + Residences. This duo represents a bold new chapter in Surry Hills hospitality, marrying vibrant aesthetics and unique furnishings to exemplify the district’s unique spirit.

Jerry Xu, CEO and Founder of La Vie Hotels & Resorts, shares the excitement about the opening: “Working alongside the Cienna Group on this exciting project has been a tremendous opportunity. ADGE Hotel + Residences aims to capture and exude the vibrant energy that characterizes Surry Hills, creating an artistic masterpiece that fits seamlessly into the suburb’s vibrant tapestry. With our deep-rooted commitment to delivering exceptional hospitality, we’re confident this hotel will shine in Sydney’s competitive boutique hotel market.”

ADGE Hotel + Residences has already caught the attention of locals and food lovers alike, as it is now home to the famous Soul Deli. The much-loved eatery, renowned for its unique culinary creations, has recently moved to the hotel’s lobby at 212 Riley Street, Surry Hills.

ADGE Hotel + Residences, with its 93 artfully crafted rooms and 12 two-bedroom apartments, is gearing up to welcome urban explorers and experience seekers from all walks of life. Interior highlights include bold carpet patterns, stylish pod bathrooms, SMEG fridges, and Nespresso machines. At the same time, the exterior pays homage to the industrial heritage of Surry Hills with its unique brickwork and folding facade.

Moreover, the hotel will feature an eye-catching mural from renowned Australian artist Adrian Hing, with each floor boasting a unique colour and art style. Anna Varendorff has crafted an abstract stainless steel and neon light sculpture, casting a dynamic play of shadows over the building’s facade.

Upon completing Cambridge Hotel’s refurbishment early next year, the rebranded ADGE Hotel + Residence will boast 242 guestrooms and an Italian-style restaurant with an acclaimed chef ready to lead the culinary team.

Guests can also savour the exquisite dining experience offered by Raida Noda’s Chef Kitchen, an intimate omakase-style Japanese restaurant, or enjoy a bite from the in-house Soul Deli.
