Emporium Hotel South Bank is excited to announce Hans Palandt as the new manager of the hotel’s soon to be opened Reserve Wine Bar.
With 3,000+ varieties of wine and a personal wine concierge loved by international celebrities and royalty, Emporium Hotel’s newest wine bar is set to become Brisbane’s must do destination of wine.
The Reserve Wine Bar and Cellar (formerly the Piano Bar on the ground floor of the hotel) features over 100 of the world’s best winemakers, and some of the highest rated wines on the international wine scale, earning it a team as good as the wines.
With his studies with the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, years of experience on the floor during his time in restaurants and wine bars such as Bucci Restaurant, Black Hide Treasury & Carl’s Newstead (now Ardos), as well as recent experience in the making of wine, Hans brings a great wealth of knowledge to the team.
His last role as assistant winemaker and brand ambassador at Stoke Wines in South Australia saw him assisting in all aspects of the winemaking during the harvest season and building the brand on the off season, operating at both ends.
He looks forward to joining both the Reserve Wine Bar and Emporium Hotel team as he performs in a role that he is passionate about.
“The Reserve Wine Bar gives us the opportunity of sharing a great collection of wines from our Cellar as well as new & exciting examples from smaller producers to our guests’ he said.
‘We don’t just look to serve wines but also help learn about them and make it an experience for anyone that is interest’ he added.
