In a move to claim the title of Australia’s tech startup capital, Sydney is gearing up to introduce Tech Central, a state-of-the-art tech precinct spread over six inner-city neighbourhoods. A conveniently short hop from Sydney Kingsford Smith International Airport, Tech Central promises a mix of progressive thinking, innovation, and capital investment. Central Place Sydney, the crown jewel of this precinct, features the new tech powerhouse Atlassian’s hybrid workspace. The $3 billion project aims to attract bright minds and investors, promising a synergistic blend of talent and technology.

Revitalising Darling Harbour.

Darling Harbour, an iconic waterside attraction, is also getting a $2 billion overhaul. The project reimagines the original 1980s precinct into a five-story multifunctional hub, housing retail outlets, commercial spaces, and an entertainment quarter. Furthermore, it will offer a seamless connection between Pyrmont, Haymarket, and the city centre. The revitalised precinct is set to house the largest W Hotel in Marriott’s global collection, W Sydney, slated for an October 2023 opening.

A hotspot for over three million visitors yearly, the Sydney Fish Market is undergoing a $750 million transformation. The new design, by acclaimed architects 3XN, pays homage to the fishing industry with its wave-like, scaled roof and stunning views of the wharves. The completion of this vibrant and sustainable precinct is set for 2024.

Barangaroo: A Window to Rich Culture.

Barangaroo adds a new dimension to the Sydney Harbour foreshore by celebrating the rich cultural heritage of the First Nations. This evolving precinct features a multilevel event space – The Cutaway – under the Barangaroo Reserve. The Cutaway, adorned with palm frond-like columns, will house cultural and event facilities spanning three levels.
