Dreamworld’s most renowned attraction and an iconic jewel in the Gold Coast’s crown is officially set to re–open this week, as the park gears up to launch the new and improved Giant Drop this Saturday, 24th June.
To celebrate the re-opening, Dreamworld is offering guests the opportunity to ‘drop back in’ and win a ticket to the launch party during the June 23rd Dreamworld Night Market, with a chance to be amongst the first to ride the Giant Drop after dark before re-opening to the public.
Following a complete refurbishment and maintenance works, the new Giant Drop will feature the newly installed lights spelling ‘DREAMWORLD’, set to be a shining diamond in the Gold Coast’s skyline.
The attraction has also been given a new lease on life with a bold new colour scheme, set to withstand the Queensland climate for new and future generations to enjoy. Fresh renovations to the loading station have also been completed, with new signature Giant Drop theming set to be unveiled.
The re-opening of the Giant Drop follows the announcement late last year regarding the $55 million investment into the park over 2023 and 2024, which will deliver new attractions and themed area upgrades.

An exclusive number of tickets are available to win, and all winners will be invited to the launch event during Dreamworld Night Market. Dreamworld Night Market operates every Friday and Saturday night from 5pm – 9pm with an array of epic eats and entertainment on offer. Entry is $2 or free for all children, passholders and guests of the park visiting for the day wishing to stay after dark.
