Holland America Line is delighted to be sponsoring the popular Plat du Tour television series hosted by renowned French-Australian chef, Guillaume Brahimi, each night of the live Tour de France 2023 broadcast on SBS on demand.
2022 cemented Plat du Tour as a prominent feature of the Tour De France Live Stages with a total viewer reach of 3.4 million across the race broadcast period, providing a significant and well-aligned audience for Holland America Line to showcase its offerings.
During the 21-part series, Guillaume explores and celebrates French culture through classic French cuisine and regions as the Tour de France stages cross the country.
This year, viewers can look forward to new stories and recipes from the chef and restauranteur as he serves up his ‘Plat du Tour’ and takes viewers on a brand-new mouth-watering journey through France.
In conjunction with the sponsorship, Holland America Line is also giving viewers the chance to win a 7 Day European cruise and return economy flights, while Plat du Tour airs between 1 – 30 July.
Plat du Tour will first air on the SBS main channel, during sports timeslots in accordance with what stage of the Tour de France is on that evening. SBS Food will air 2 x 30min compiled episodes on July 27 and Aug 3 at 20:30 PM, both days.
2023 has proved to be an exciting year for Holland America Line, as it celebrates its 150th Anniversary — making it one of the longest-operating travel companies in the world. Founded in the Netherlands, Holland America Line currently offers a variety of seven to 35-day sailings exploring Europe on two of the line’s Pinnacle Class ships, Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam, along with Oosterdam and Zuiderdam.
