To strengthen air travel connections, Etihad Airways, the esteemed national airline of the UAE, has announced an expansion of its flight frequency between Abu Dhabi and Rome. On November 4, 2023, the airline will increase its weekly flights from seven to eleven.

The additional four services will provide business and leisure travellers with enhanced accessibility and convenience through double-daily connections between the capitals of Italy and the UAE. Specifically, the expanded service will be available on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, offering travellers greater flexibility and seamless travel experiences.

Arik De, the Chief Revenue Officer at Etihad Airways, expressed his delight at the expansion, emphasizing its commitment to providing an extensive range of options and travel flexibility to its guests in Italy, the UAE, and beyond. He said, “Rome stands as one of the most sought-after tourist destinations globally, owing to its rich history, culture, and an array of attractions such as the Colosseum, Vatican City, and the Roman Forum.”

The increased flight frequency between Abu Dhabi and Rome will not only benefit travellers seeking to explore the eternal city. Still, it will also open up countless opportunities for visitors from the UAE to discover the charm of la dolce vita or seamlessly connect to 45 Italian, European, and American destinations through Etihad Airways’ codeshare partner, ITA Airways.

To ensure maximum convenience for visitors to Abu Dhabi, the second Rome service has been carefully scheduled to offer optimized local flight times. With an evening departure and a convenient morning arrival, travellers can maximize their time in the UAE capital.
