The Spanish airline Volotea now flies from BER. It now offers a non-stop connection from the capital region to Verona in northern Italy. The connection is offered twice a week. The French metropolis of Lyon will be Volotea’s second new destination at BER, starting on 12 October 2023.

Flight schedule

The connection to Verona is flown every Tuesday and Friday. The plane takes off from BER at 8:15 am on Tuesdays and lands in Verona at 9:55 am. On Fridays, departure is at 12:30 pm with arrival in northern Italy at 2:10 pm. Return flights from Verona are on Tuesdays at 6 am and Fridays at 10:20 am. The flight time is one hour and 40 minutes. Verona, with its UNESCO World Heritage old town, magnificent churches and Roman theatre backdrop, is considered one of Italy’s most romantic cities. The city is situated in the scenic Veneto region, not far from Lake Garda.

Starting in October, flights to Lyon will be operated every Thursday and Sunday. Volotea will be taking off from BER at 12:25 pm every Thursday and landing in Lyon at 2:20 pm. Sunday’s connection will leave BER at 1:05 pm, arriving in France at 3 pm. Return flights from Lyon are scheduled on Thursdays at 10 am and Sundays at 11 am. The flight time is one hour and 55 minutes. The UNESCO World Heritage city captivates visitors with its very well-preserved old town, impressive Notre-Dame Basilica and various cultural festivals, such as the famous Festival of Lights. The Saône and Rhone rivers merge in Lyon, the Alps are not far away and the vineyards are the perfect place for a walk.
