On a momentous occasion, Annette Gregg, CMM, MBA, took centre stage as the newly appointed CEO of SITE and SITE Foundation at this year’s IMEX Frankfurt event. Stepping into the role with unparalleled enthusiasm, Gregg presented a host of pioneering initiatives on behalf of the association while shedding light on strengthened industry partnerships that promise to bring unprecedented benefits to SITE members.
Kicking off the press conference with a flourish, Gregg unveiled an array of refreshed, renewed, and brand-new alliances in collaboration with industry heavyweights such as MPI, Destinations International, IMA, IRF, ADMEI, and FICP. These partnerships signify SITE’s commitment to forging stronger connections within the sector and expanding its reach.
One of the most highly anticipated announcements was the upcoming launch of the 2023 Incentive Travel Index survey. Developed in collaboration with the Incentive Research Foundation (IRF), this survey promises to provide invaluable insights into the world of incentive travel. Additionally, Gregg offered a tantalizing preview of the latest in-house research project conducted by SITE Foundation, titled Participant inSITEs.
“As the preeminent association exclusively dedicated to incentive travel, the findings from these two projects hold tremendous significance in advancing the business case for this industry,” declared Gregg, exuding confidence in the groundbreaking research.
As the conference progressed, attendees were treated to an exclusive preview of the upcoming SITE events calendar. Highlights include the much-anticipated Executive Summit set to take place in Zimbabwe this June, SITE Classic in Mexico this August, and a November International Board of Directors meeting in Egypt. Gregg also took the opportunity to announce the establishment of SITE’s newest chapter, SITE Arabia.
“These destinations have emerged as exceptional hotspots for incentive travel,” remarked Gregg. “Our community’s expertise and insights combined with the wealth of knowledge from in-country experts create a unique platform for exchanging innovative ideas and best practices.”
Bringing the press briefing to a close, Gregg shared exciting updates regarding SITE membership and a range of new benefits exclusively designed for members. Notably, SITE has witnessed exponential growth in its membership base, reaching unprecedented levels since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
To further elevate the membership experience, SITE offers online, on-demand versions of its esteemed CIS and CITP certification exams this year. Members will also gain access to curated content through strategic industry partnerships and a newly launched members-only education platform on SITE’s official website.
“It is truly an honor to assume the CEO role during SITE’s momentous 50th year,” Gregg expressed. “As a close-knit association, I firmly believe that we are stronger together. I am eager to expand our support for members and contribute to the thriving incentive travel community.”
With Annette Gregg at the helm, SITE is poised for a remarkable growth, collaboration, and innovation era. The impact of her visionary leadership is set to reverberate throughout the industry, solidifying SITE’s status as the absolute authority on incentive travel.
