Gaylord National Resort unveiled the all-new, completely reimagined Old Hickory Steakhouse on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The elegant steakhouse is the third new dining experience to receive a complete reimagination, as the resort continues to unveil elements of an unprecedented $14 million restaurant renovation following a dramatic $64 million guestroom renovation.

This renovation and new brand experience is the first to open across the Gaylord Hotels brand, which will see renovated, reimagined experiences, menus, and spaces across each of its five, signature Old Hickory Steakhouses. These experiences are expected to roll out later in 2023 and 2024 at locations in Nashville, TN, Kissimmee, FL, Aurora, CO, and Grapevine, TX.

Guests of Gaylord National’s Old Hickory Steakhouse are welcomed into a 10,000+ sq. foot area divided into four unique spaces decorated with rich and luxurious hues of forest green, deep-sea blue, sandy beach, copper and gold. Windows along the outside wall provide a spectacular view of the Garden Atrium that allow diners to view the resort’s light and fountain shows throughout the year. Every detail of the design has been intentional with the goal to provide a timeless backdrop that showcases elegance and refinement to welcome a wide variety of guests to Gaylord National.

  • Old Hickory Bar, an all-new wrap around bar where guests can watch as hand-crafted cocktails are expertly mixed and savor a curated menu.
  • The Library, just off the bar is a richly appointed and secluded room featuring deep leather sofas, upholstered chairs, a fireplace and large screen TVs.
  • Main Dining Room, a contemporary two room area which boasts a gorgeous gold ceiling, masterful lighting, marble and wood tables and custom seating with leather accents.
  • The Terrace Room, is a gorgeous room for any occasion with three walls of windows, lush seating, moody lighting and views overlooking National Harbor.

Old Hickory Steakhouses will continue to feature premium steak expertly prepared, with additional timeless classics infused with a regional flare, along with crafted cocktails and flawless service. Gaylord National also debuts two new experiences for guests prepared tableside, Maryland Jumbo Lump Crab Salad and an exquisitely crafted Old Fashion.

Highlights of the Old Hickory Steakhouse menu at Gaylord National, which also debuts a new breakfast, Sunday Brunch, and lunch menu in addition to their traditional dinner will include Hickory Smoked Shrimp Cocktail, Local Oysters and Baked Maryland Lump Crab Dip, a selection of eight beef options including a Tomahawk Steak, Bison Ribeye and Wagyu Ribeye, as well as Ora King Salmon. To top off this dining experience guests will be able to indulge in a Yuzu Pineapple Tart, Honey Lavender Cheesecake or a new tableside Old Fashioned and an impressive collection of regional wines.
