Australian independent designer, Christian Kimber presented his Spring Summer 2024 ready-to-wear men’s presentation last night during Afterpay Australian Fashion Week at Carriageworks, Eveleigh.

I am thrilled to partner with Afterpay Australian Fashion Week to present my spring summer 2024 collection and reveal a new contemporary take on masculine occasion-wear,” says Kimber.

The English-born Melbourne-based Australian menswear designer whose cultural references include art, cinema, music and fashion has become industry-renowned for his meticulous attention to detail, establishing himself as Australia’s premier men’s fashion designer over the past ten years.

To produce the collection showcase, Kimber enlisted Esquire Australia Commercial Director, Grant Pearce to style and oversee the 35-look runway presentation bringing with him an unrivalled 30 year career tenure, both as GQ Asia-Pacific Editorial Director and GQ Australia Launch Editor, and consulting with global luxury brands, such as Fendi, Lanvin and Versace.

Multi-disciplinary artist, Amber Moxey was be responsible for creating a clean, fresh-faced dewy skin make-up look for the men on behalf of prestige beauty retailer MECCA. The seasoned MECCA Artistry Team member has worked on numerous Afterpay Australian Fashion Week and Melbourne Fashion Festival shows, including Oroton and Romance Was Born.

New York-based Mr. Smith Creative Director, Freda Rossidis is one of Australia’s leading hair stylists with over 20 years industry experience and working with celebrities such as Bella Hadid, Carine Roitfeld and Hayley Beiber. Rossidis and Kimber worked collaboratively to create a sleek, pulled-back wet look for the runway presentation, enhancing the natural masculinity of the Christian Kimber man.

Christian Kimber partnered exclusively with globally-renowned IMG Models to cast a procession of diverse masculine characters, including GQ Man of the Year; Model of the Year, Nathan McGuire and upcoming Australian singer-songwriter, Don West, with guest runway appearances by Australian actors, Lincoln Younes and Remy Hi, and author and wellbeing advocate, James Duigan.
