IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced a signing agreement to bring its flagship Crowne Plaza brand to Fiji. The Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa is set to open in late 2023 following a multi-million-dollar refurbishment and extension of the existing Pullman Nadi Bay property. The resort will feature 324 refreshed rooms, brand-new two-bedroom family rooms and ocean-facing king suites. It will also include a new day spa with six double treatment rooms, a 600-seat convention centre, and seven dining outlets, including a lobby bar, a whisky bar, and an Italian restaurant.
The addition of Crowne Plaza to IHG’s existing properties in Fiji, which includes the InterContinental Fiji Golf Resort & Spa, Holiday Inn Suva, Six Senses Fiji, and the Grand Pacific Hotel, will give the group a dominant presence in Nadi, a key tourism destination and home to Fiji’s international airport. The move will give IHG One Rewards members more choices when choosing to holiday in Fiji.
IHG is the leading operator of hotels across the Pacific region, with properties in Fiji, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, Micronesia, and soon-to-open InterContinental Lifou Wadra Bay Resort in New Caledonia. Jay Singh, CEO of Wailoaloa Hotel Pte Ltd, expressed excitement about the collaboration with IHG and the opportunity to create a world-class destination for travellers to Nadi.
