Spread the love

Declarations of love come in many and varied ways. Presents to loved ones can be measured from one dollar to millions. Millions and millions were the cost of a gift a wealthy and very modest Cambodian businessman bequeathed to his wife, the love of his life; a four-star hotel (going on five-star) named after her. Anik. Her nickname means humbleness and kindness in Khmer.

That is the meaning behind the naming of the Anik Palace Hotel, launched in 2019 in the quiet centre of Phnom Penh next to a mini-Pub Street that takes its name from the famous Pub Street in Siem Reap.

The quality of the design, decoration, service, food and friendly staff is evident when you enter the imposing 13-story 126-room building and continue for your stay.

The hotel offers spacious open-plan accommodation; each room has been furnished with European style, custom furnishings, plus an intelligent flat-screen TV.

A superb oasis in the heart of Phnom Penh with a caring duty to the environment. Plastic is on the banned list with an accent on sustainable products. Many of the staff under the tutorship of Sin Samney (Sam), the Group General Manager, have worked together for many years. The hotel has a huge following and can arrange everything guests wish for.

The Luna Sky Bar is a popular feature at the hotel, with a memorable menu and an outstanding drinks list at reasonable prices, plus a magnificent view of the Phnom Penh skyline. The Luna Sky Bar is the place to watch the setting sun. It is located beside the pool on level 13, and the area is ideal for a full-on lunch, dinner or just a snack and cocktails.

The Royal Palace, Riverside, Central Market, and the National Museum are less than a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride (known locally as a remorque.) The hotel features a spa, a sauna, a steam room and an outdoor jacuzzi and is proud of its return business from corporate travellers, holidaymakers, families and conference attendees. French visitors head the list of guests, followed by visitors from Australia, the UK and Asia.

The Anik Hotel Group is currently building a property next door to the Palace that has been constructed in the same vein as the Palace. It will be an annex to the current hotel providing a combination of more than 200 rooms, and is scheduled to open mid-2024. It will feature an original ground-floor Khmer restaurant open to guests and the public. The spa, conference room and Sky Bar will be extended to cater to 100 guests.

Anik Palace Hotel is the third property to be opened by the Anik Hotel Group. They are all nestled in the heart of Phnom Penh. First, to be launched was Anik Boutique Hotel Rainbow Bridge, followed by Anik Boutique Hotel & Spa on Norodom Boulevard, followed by the Anik Palace Hotel.

Management has resolved to increase awareness of the Anik Properties brand to become a leading Cambodian hotel group and successfully operate the hotels with local talent. For further information, visit https://www.anikhotelgroup.com/.
