Arabian Travel Market (ATM)Dubai, United Arab Emirates – His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai, has officially inaugurated the 30th edition of Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2023, the Middle East’s most extensive travel and tourism exhibition. The four-day event, from May 1-4 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, hosts more than 2,000 exhibitors and representatives from over 150 nations.

Exhibitor participation at this year’s event has seen a significant 27% rise compared to ATM 2022, with 34,000 attendees expected to attend. This year’s theme, ‘Working Towards Net Zero’, focuses on the travel industry’s journey towards decarbonisation and showcases innovative solutions to achieve this goal.

The event’s opening day features 20 sessions across its Global Stage, Travel Tech Stage, and a brand-new Sustainability Hub. Highlights include Technology: The Enabler of Sustainable Travel, Sustainability in the Travel Industry: Who Pays?, Enhancing the Customer Experience Through AI, and the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance’s session on Achieving Net Positive Hospitality.

On day two, the ATM Global Stage will host a conversation between John Strickland and Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline, covering topics such as rising passenger traffic and the challenges and opportunities the carrier faces. The Travel Tech Stage will feature speakers from Euromonitor, TikTok, and Amadeus discussing Getting Into the Mind of a Digital Consumer. The Sustainability Hub will host Green Technology for Responsible Tourism, with experts sharing insights into the role of innovation in minimizing carbon emissions, water consumption, and waste.

Arabian Travel Market 2023 is part of Arabian Travel Week (May 1-10, 2023), a festival of events dedicated to enabling industry professionals to collaborate and capitalize on market opportunities through exhibitions, conferences, breakfast briefings, awards, product launches, and networking events.

The event is held in conjunction with Dubai World Trade Centre, with strategic partners including Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) as the Destination Partner, Emirates as the Official Airline Partner, IHG Hotels & Resorts as the Official Hotel Partner, and Al Rais Travel as the Official DMC Partner.
