Wynn Resorts, Limited has announced its plans to open a new multi-billion-dollar integrated resort on Al Marjan Island in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The resort, Wynn Al Marjan Island, will be the company’s first beachfront property and project in the Middle East North Africa (MENA) region. The resort will be developed with local partners Marjan LLC and RAK Hospitality Holding LLC.
Wynn Al Marjan Island will be a premium luxury experience against the stunning seascape of Al Marjan Island. With an estimated cost of approximately USD 3.9 billion, the resort will offer exceptional entertainment and gaming amenities. Its signature opulence is reflected in its approximately 1,500 lavishly styled rooms, suites, and villas.
Designed to reflect the natural landscape surrounding the resort and the leading design aesthetic of Wynn Resorts, the resort will feature a curved podium structure that creates majestic views of the beach, sea, and horizon. The resort will also offer abundant dining and lounge experiences, innovative spa and wellness experiences, high-end shopping, a state-of-the-art events centre, and a theatre hosting a unique production show.
The resort will be a sustainable, nature-based destination featuring nightly state-of-the-art laser and light shows. Wynn Resorts aims to open Wynn Al Marjan Island in early 2027.
The resort on Al Marjan Island is a flagship development of Marjan and highlights Ras Al Khaimah’s growing global reputation as a leading investment destination for high-quality hospitality projects. With a rapidly growing portfolio of luxury five-star hotels and residential developments, Al Marjan Island is seamlessly transitioning into a world-class resort destination.
The UAE’s Ras Al Khaimah is one of the fastest-growing tourism markets in the MENA region and is positioning itself as a sustainable and nature-based destination. The Emirate has earned a place on the list of CNN Travel’s best 50 destinations to visit in 2023 and was featured on TIME magazine’s World’s Greatest Places in 2022.
The development of Wynn Al Marjan Island is expected to accelerate further the Emirate’s rise as a major global tourist destination while creating substantial value for its economy through tourism and job creation. Foundation construction work began on site earlier this year.
