United Airlines Boeing 787 -8 Dreamliner N27908 from dead aft.United Airlines has announced the most significant South Pacific network expansion ever, adding direct flights to Christchurch, New Zealand, and other destinations in Australia and New Zealand. The expansion will take effect in the upcoming northern winter and includes new routes from L.A. to Brisbane and Auckland, more flights from San Francisco to Brisbane and Sydney, and additional flights to other destinations. The new expansion will make United Airlines the most significant carrier between the U.S. and the South Pacific region.

With the launch of the new non-stop flight between San Francisco and Christchurch, set to commence on December 1, United will be the only carrier to directly connect the U.S. and the South Island of New Zealand. The carrier is increasing its service to the region from its San Francisco hub, with daily flights to Brisbane, twice daily flights to Sydney, and larger aircraft to Melbourne. United Airlines will also add new direct flights from Los Angeles to Brisbane and Auckland.

The new expansion will make United Airlines the most significant carrier between the U.S. and Australia/New Zealand, with 66 flights between the U.S. and Australia/New Zealand every week. The airline will operate nearly 40% more flights from the U.S. to Australia and New Zealand next northern winter versus last year. Additionally, the airline already flies to more destinations in Australia and New Zealand than all other U.S. carriers combined, and now will have more flights and serve more destinations in the region from the U.S. than any other carrier in the world.

United Airlines has made this expansion possible through its strong partnerships with Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia, providing unparalleled connectivity across the region. With the expansion across five destinations in New Zealand and Australia, United Airlines is the clear choice for customers’ travel to the region.

According to Patrick Quayle, Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances, “Our strong partnerships with Air New Zealand and Virgin Australia provide unparalleled connectivity, and with our historic expansion across five destinations in New Zealand and Australia, United is the clear choice for customers’ travel to the region.”

Tickets for the new flights are now available on the airline’s mobile app and website. The expansion comes just in time for customers to plan their trips for the region’s peak winter season.

United Airlines is committed to providing its customers with a safe and comfortable travel experience. The airline follows strict health and safety protocols, including requiring all passengers and crew members to wear masks onboard, providing hand sanitiser stations throughout the aircraft, and implementing enhanced cleaning procedures.

In summary, United Airlines’ announcement of the most significant South Pacific network expansion ever, including the new non-stop flight to Christchurch, New Zealand, reinforces the airline’s commitment to providing unparalleled connectivity across the region. The expansion will make United the most significant carrier between the U.S. and the South Pacific region, and tickets are now available on the airline’s mobile app and website.
