Some of the world’s most epic natural splendours including the breathtaking geysers, waterfalls and hot pools of Iceland and the grand fjords and towering sea cliffs of Norway are the star features of a spectacular, new fly, stay and cruise package in 2024 now on sale through Australian small ship cruising specialist, Cruise Traveller.

Combining two back-to-back cruises on the same ship from England and curated exclusively for Australians keen to see more of Europe without constantly packing and unpacking, the new, 18-night ‘Viking Vacation’ package – is being offered in conjunction with boutique British cruise line, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, and includes savings on bookings made by April 30, 2023.

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines is known for its smaller and more intimate ships which showcase traditional seafaring heritage, the calming pleasures of classic cruising and their ability to reach more secluded and remote destinations. Cruise Traveller is the exclusive Australian representative for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.

The package, which includes beverages aboard the two cruises, begins on April 15, 2024, with an included flight from Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth to Newcastle in northern England, with a night’s pre-cruise stay in the city also included.  Guests then board Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ stylish, 1325-guest ship, Balmoral, for a combined 16-night voyage to Iceland and Norway.

Able to access smaller ports bigger ships cannot reach, the charming and spacious Balmoral, with its panoramic restaurants and lounges, sleek, open promenades and two pools, will take nature-loving guests first on a stunning, nine-night circumnavigation of Iceland showcasing its mighty mountains, wild waterfalls, gushing geysers and quaint villages.

On return to Newcastle, guests will stay onboard for the second cruise, this time a seven-night return voyage to Norway including six awe-inspiring fjords – Lysefjord, Hardangerfjord, Akrafjord, Maurangerfjord, Nordfjord and Romsdalsfjorden – as well as majestic peaks, the highest sea cliffs in Europe at Mt Hornelen, soaring 860m sheer above the ocean, thundering waterfalls and idyllic hamlets, nestled at the end of rugged fjords, like Eidfjord, Olden, Andalsnes and Isfjorden.

At the end of the second cruise, guests will spend a night in a Newcastle hotel again before the flight back to Australia.
