Dreaming of a trip Down Under? Snap up a deal at Tourism Australia’s Virtual Travel Fair today, featuring exclusive fares and discounts across flight, hotel, tour, car rentals, and experiences. This is the fourth edition of the highly anticipated travel sale and deals will be up for grabs from now until 9 April 2023.

The announcement comes on the back of Tourism Australia’s latest campaign, ‘Come and Say G’day’, which combines recognisable and beloved icons, stunning scenery, and welcoming Aussie characters, reminding the world why there’s nothing like Australia.

As part of the online fair, Tourism Australia has teamed up with five major airlines – Singapore Airlines, Qantas Airways, Scoot, Malaysia Airlines, and AirAsia X – to offer fares starting from just SGD350**.

Additionally, tourism products ranging from hotels to adventure and leisure experiences have come on board to extend exciting offers – such as up to SGD800 off per couple on selected group tours. Deals can be booked online, offline, and over the phone with our key distribution partners (Chan Brothers Travel, EU Holidays, PriceBreaker), online travel agencies (Cheaptickets.SG, Klook, Traveloka, Luxury Escapes), accommodation providers (TFE Hotels, Hyatt, The Ovolo Group) and other partners (Hertz, THL Online).

The “Great Australian Deals” fair will be promoted across radio, outdoor, online, and social media, and amplified via partnerships with airlines and key Singapore distribution partners. Having helped achieved over 43,300 bookings for partner airlines in previous editions, this year’s campaign aims to facilitate aviation recovery and help boost Australia’s visitor numbers to pre-COVID levels.

Commenting on this year’s travel fair, Ann Lim, Country Manager for Singapore, Tourism Australia, notes that Australia continues to be a top destination on Singaporeans’ travel list and anticipates keen interest in this year’s travel fair. According to Tourism Australia’s latest consumer research, ‘Future of Demand’, Australia is considered by one in two Singaporeans for their next holiday destination, with majority ranking shopping and relaxing experiences as their top priorities when travelling.

Ms Lim added, “Australia’s breadth of experiences creates many new opportunities to rediscover the land Down Under. Whether you are looking to traverse new destinations, indulge in a bit of retail therapy, or enjoy a much-needed respite, Australia’s cities and outback leave much to be explored. In partnership with 17 local and regional partners, you’ll find unmissable deals across accommodations, experiences, and flights to plan your perfect holiday.”

With travel back on the agenda as borders reopened last year, the influx of Singaporean travellers to Australia has been steadily rising. 295,800 Singaporeans travelled to Australia in 2022 (year ending September 2022), with 81.9% repeat leisure visitation. Total expenditure by Singaporean travellers equated to A$798.7 million, of which A$520.3 million was spent by leisure travellers alone[1].
