Franco’s Italian restaurant in Jermyn Street is proud to present its newly re-decorated private dining room.  The space which is also used as part of the restaurant when not used for private hire can accommodate up to 16 in one room and up to 32 on one long table or up to 50 on five tables of 10.

The St James’s institution first opened its doors in 1945, and has elevated its chic private dining room with a redesign by internationally renowned specialist Conrad Alexander Design, noted for the luxury finishes and styling of its interiors. Inspiration has flowed from the Italian heritage of Franco’s, as exemplified by the traditional dishes on its menu, as well as by the outstanding Art Deco features within the restaurant.

The bespoke scenic wall coverings throughout are 17th-century etchings of the Italian countryside printed on canvas. Mirrored antique panelling and Art Deco brass light fixtures have been added to brighten and deepen the elegant look and feel of the dining room.

Further features include a new walk-in wine storage room and oak dividing doors with bespoke Art Deco-decorated glass panels.

The private dining space at Franco’s offers many options and can be set up to suit individual needs, for whatever the event or occasion. From board room-style, private meetings, product launches, presentations, seminars, cocktail and dinner parties, family reunions, birthdays, and anniversaries Franco’s new design-led space also incorporates a 65-inch TV to give presentations and product launches that extra impact.

Director, Jason Phillips, comments: “The directors of Franco’s felt the time was right to reflect the recently improved reception and ground floor restaurant with an interesting and elegant makeover of the private dining room, a popular space throughout the day with business breakfasts, board meetings, lunches, to birthday and anniversary dinner celebrations in the evening. The room is often used from dawn to dusk.”

Famous as a favourite haunt for family and friends, this oasis of lively sophistication on Jermyn Street is renowned for its extensive Italian wine list which, in the summer months, boasts the largest collection of rosé wines in Europe.

Franco’s while being an established Italian restaurant is also known for its popular and lively ‘English’ breakfast.  The lunch and evening menu offer classical Italian dishes including fresh pasta a ‘from the grill’ section and delicious homemade desserts and ice creams.
