Support for Aid Organisations

The WIR (Wasser Ist Recht / Water Is Right) Foundation from Frankfurt am Main, Germany has been in existence for over ten years and supports water projects in many disadvantaged regions of the world. This involves both clean drinking water and water for sanitation purposes. The organization regularly reports about its projects on its website.

For example, a new water treatment plant was built for an orphanage in Haiti. The orphanage is home to 400 children whose drinking water was previously contaminated with bacteria. In Mombasa, Kenya, and together with the Udo Lindenberg Foundation, the public school in the poor district of Ziwa la N’Gombe provides water for more than 2,000 people through new water treatment plants.
