July is fly fishing month at Huka Lodge, when Taupō’s world-famous Rainbow and Brown trout are at their biting best. To celebrate, Huka Lodge has partnered with the best local operator in the business, Chris Jolly Outdoors to create a special fly fishing package available for the month of July.
Huka Lodge has its very foundations in fly fishing, where Irishman Alan Pye first established a high-end fishing camp complete with white canvas tents on the banks of Taupō’s Waikato River, famous for its trout and offering excellent fly fishing, in 1924.
The new Fly Fishing package celebrates Huka Lodge’s rich heritage, where the same trout-filled waterways around Taupō that drew anglers from around the world are awaiting today for guests to enjoy the challenge of this legendary experience.
With rates from NZ$3,250* per night per suite, the package includes:
- Accommodation in a Junior Lodge Suite
- Selected dining and generous inclusions for two guests
- A bonus three-course lunch for two at Huka Lodge
- A half-day fly fishing adventure with Chris Jolly Outdoors, complete with packed lunch
