Ultra-low fare carrier Frontier Airlines is coming to town to celebrate its growth and commitment at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). The carrier will give away hundreds of free flights during events in Plano and Fort Worth on March 22 and 23.
Frontier will also provide an opportunity for members of the public to take advantage of a 20,000 FRONTIER Miles℠ offer* for those booking round-trip travel from DFW between Mar 21-27, 2023 and completing travel prior to June 15, 2023 with the promo code GET20k. Additionally, the public is invited to vote on a name for a new Texas-inspired plane tail animal (all Frontier aircraft feature an animal on their tail with a special name and backstory).
Frontier offers nonstop service from DFW to a wide variety of destinations and by May will serve 20 markets in total, including Montego Bay, Jamaica. May will also mark the opening of the airline’s new crew base at DFW. The future base is expected to employ up to 120 pilots and 220 flight attendants within its first year of operation.
Join Frontier Airlines at Legacy Food Hall in Plano on Wednesday, March 22 at 4 p.m. and/ or at Birdie’s Social Club in Fort Worth on Thursday, March 23 at 4 p.m. to play Frontier-themed games and for a chance to win free flights. Registration is required to attend and proof of confirmation email must be presented and verified on location to access event games/attractions. Games end at 7 p.m. both days and will operate on a first come, first serve basis while supplies last. Participation is not guaranteed. Participants must be 18 years or older to play games.
Wednesday, March 22, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Legacy Food Hall | 7800 Windrose Ave. Plano, TX 75024 |
Thursday, March 23, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Birdie’s Social Club | 2736 W. 6th St. Fort Worth, TX 76107 |
In addition to giving away free flights, the public is invited to vote in person at the Texas events, or via social media channels, to name one of Frontier’s newest plane tails- a golden-cheeked warbler. The endangered species of bird calls the Lone Star State home. It is the only bird with a breeding area that is endemic to Texas. People are invited to vote for one of the following Texas-inspired names to honor the bird:
· J.R. – Inspired by the famed character from the hit TV show Dallas
· Emmitt – A nod to Emmitt Smith, a favorite former Dallas Cowboys player
· Chisholm – An homage to the popular hiking and cycling trail in the northern suburbs
Plus, between March 22 and 23, keep an eye out for our lovable polar bear mascot Powder! The bear will be making surprise appearances around the metroplex and DFW Airport. Those who see Powder and post a picture of themselves with the bear using the hashtag #PicswithPowder will be entered into a drawing for free flights for themselves and three friends.
