Pan Pacific Hotels Group, a member of Singapore-listed UOL Group Limited, has announced the launch of PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort, a brand-new beachfront resort in the UNESCO Geopark of Langkawi. The 301-room resort, strategically located along the pristine beaches of Pantai Tengah, joins the group’s growing network of more than 50 hotels, resorts, and serviced suites in over 30 key cities across Asia Pacific, North America, and Europe.

The resort offers a range of accommodation options, including guest rooms, suites, one-to-three-bedroom villas, and a two-bedroom apartment. With a private plunge pool and direct access to the beach, the villas are perfect for small families. Dining options include the all-day dining restaurant CASSIA, which offers a range of signature local favourites and international dishes, and Lancava, the modern restaurant and bar that overlooks the picturesque Andaman Sea, offering a myriad of seafood dishes with Southeast Asian influences and a farm-to-table onsite garden concept with freshly grown herbs.
For complete head-to-toe rejuvenation, Suasana Spa offers a range of therapeutic and holistic spa treatments combined with traditional Malaysian-inspired rituals to soothe overworked muscles, relax the mind, and invigorate the body. Leisure facilities include a kids’ club, an outdoor playground, two pools, a jogging trail, and a fitness centre.
“The opening of PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort, Malaysia, gives us the opportunity to expand in the region as the fifth property in Malaysia,” said Mr Richard Tan, Vice President of Operations, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “With business and leisure travels slowly resuming, the hospitality industry is set to grow as borders reopen, and the overall tourist arrivals are expected to reach 80% to 95% of pre-pandemic levels this year according to the United Nations World Tourism Organization. In the next two years, we are committed to growing the PARKROYAL brand with the addition of nine properties in gateway cities that include Tokyo, Malacca, Dalian, Siem Reap, Jakarta, and Hanoi, where we will be well-placed across these strategic locations to take advantage of the travel demand,” said Mr Choe Peng Sum, Chief Executive Officer, Pan Pacific Hotels Group.

PARKROYAL Suites Bangkok
The group also expanded its serviced suites portfolio in the region in November 2022 with the opening of the 194-room PARKROYAL Suites Bangkok located at Sukhumvit Soi 6, just a short walking distance to Nana BTS sky train station. Upcoming openings include PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Hanoi, which overlooks the picturesque West Lake, and PARKROYAL Serviced Suites Jakarta, in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
As the travel industry rebounds from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, Pan Pacific Hotels Group is committed to expanding its portfolio of hotels and resorts to meet the increasing demand from business and leisure travellers. With the addition of the PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort, the group is well-positioned to tap into the growing travel demand in the region.
As travellers look forward to resuming their plans, PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort is the perfect destination for those seeking a luxurious and comfortable beachfront vacation. Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family vacation, the resort offers something for everyone.
As we slowly emerge from the pandemic, it’s important to support the travel and hospitality industry. By planning your next vacation at PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort or any of the other Pan Pacific Hotels Group properties, you can help the industry recover and thrive once again.
