[EARTH] HourOn Saturday, March 25th, the world will once again unite to switch off and take a stand for the planet. Earth Hour, the world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment, will mark its sixteenth year in 2023, with millions of people expected to participate from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm local time.

Born in Sydney in 2007, Earth Hour has grown to become a global phenomenon, with over 190 countries and territories and more than 7,000 cities taking part. The movement is community-led and aims to raise awareness of the impacts of climate change and the importance of biodiversity.

This year, Earth Hour is emphasizing the importance of taking a #TimeOutForNature. Participants are encouraged to take a moment to reflect on the incredible benefits that nature provides, whether it’s for 60 seconds, 60 minutes, or beyond the hour. As nature also needs a break, this year’s theme is a reminder that we need to act urgently to combat climate change and reverse the loss of nature by 2030.

To get involved, sign up at earthhour.org.au and pledge to support greater action on climate change and nature loss. Switch off your lights and other non-essential electronics from 8:30 pm to 9:30 pm on March 25th and join the global community in taking a #TimeOutForNature.

Earth Hour is an opportunity to show solidarity for the planet and send a message to policymakers that action must be taken to address the urgent environmental challenges we face. By participating, we can raise awareness of these issues and inspire others to take action to protect the planet.

Stay tuned for more information about this year’s Earth Hour, including how you can win a luxury walking holiday with the Tasmanian Walking Company. Let’s unite to take a #TimeOutForNature and protect the planet for future generations.
