Green Pearls® welcomes a new Green Pearl close to Munich. Sustainability is a way of life at Gut Sonnenhausen. The former stud farm in Glonn, in Upper Bavaria, is surrounded by beautiful natural surroundings.

Georg Schweisfurth, an eco-pioneer, and his team carefully renovated the historic walls and fulfilled their dream. But it is not only the over 120-year history that guests can discover. The Sonnenhausen estate stands out for its unique combination of tradition and modernity, architecture, art, and nature.

Restaurants, conference rooms, banquet halls, and guest rooms always offer something special to consciously perceive and discover. Contemporary art, paintings, and sculptures encourage communication and reflection. Besides art, the beauty of nature is a subject that permeates the old walls of the estate and the former farmhouse.

The estate itself manages the lands around Gut Sonnenhausen according to ecological and permaculture principles. Therefore, guests will be able to see exactly where the food on their plates comes from. Any produce that is not grown in the estate’s own garden and fields is sourced from Herrmansdorfer Landwerkstätten, which is just a few kilometres away.

The Sonnenhausen estate is a living unity of architecture, culture, art and nature, inviting guests to arrive in the here and now. To come to oneself is the estate’s motto.
