Love was well and truly in the air for Redcliffe locals on Valentine’s Day, with The Belvedere and The Komo reporting a significant increase in dining on the most romantic day of the year compared to a regular weekday trade.
Despite the rising cost of living, romance definitely trumped all talks of rising interest rates, with The Komo serving 150 and The Belvedere serving 230 more covers in comparison to most Tuesdays.
The top selling dish at The Komo was the Valentine’s Day seafood board, followed by the sirloin steak, and the rotisserie chicken carbonara – and all of the desserts sold were the extra romantic Valentine’s Day chocolate fondues for two.
The venue’s romantic Valentine’s Day cocktail, the Raspberry Bourbon Sour was the top beverage of the day – followed by beers and wines, with their premium Prosecco being the highest seller in the wine category.
At The Belvedere, the most ordered dishes were the eye filet steak and the ocean platter for two. Surprisingly, it seems Mums and Dads were happy to bring the kids along for date night – with 17 kid’s meals served during the evening.
66 of their Valentine’s Day Wild Rose Margaritas were sold as the top cocktail of the evening, followed by beer (137 sold) and wine (tap sauvignon blanc took the top spot).
Chris Allison, Queensland Regional Manager at Lewis Land Group said they were delighted to have helped locals of the Redcliffe region celebrate on Valentine’s Day.
“We are thrilled to see such a positive response from the community for our Valentine’s Day offerings at both venues. It’s a true reflection of the exceptional service and quality food and drinks that our team delivers,” Allison said.
“Our covers on Valentine’s Day comprised of couples, families and groups of friends all happy to celebrate the most romantic day of the year. It’s really clear that Redcliffe locals from all walks of life were out and about celebrating.
“The Belvedere Hotel and The Komo have always been a popular destination for locals and visitors, and we look forward to continuing to provide an unforgettable dining experience for all.”
