Spread the love

Diners at Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant will get to enjoy great savings on their favourite handmade Dim Sum and Peking Duck delicacies when they make a donation to HCA Hospice (HCA) from February 6 through April 30, 2023.

Founded in 1989, HCA Hospice is Singapore’s largest home hospice care provider. From infants to the elderly, about 3,600 patients benefit from HCA’s home hospice programme at no charge each year.

In addition, HCA also operates a Day Hospice programme for mobile patients and a paediatric palliative care (Star PALS) programme for children with life-shortening illnesses.

One hundred and twenty dollars ($120) is required to provide a day’s care for a patient at HCA’s day hospice centre; three hundred ($300) will provide for one home visit to a terminally ill patient; and three thousand ($3,000) will provide ten (10) home visits by a multi-disciplinary team of doctors, nurses, social workers and counsellors to support terminally ill patients and their families.

With this year’s fundraising initiative, Peach Garden aims not only to help raise funds to support more patients in need but to increase the awareness of the service provided by HCA.
