Gastronomic hiking specialist Hedonistic Hiking has released its European tour dates for 2024, alongside the option of a ‘taster’ autumn hiking weekend around Beechworth in North East Victoria. The 2024 programme features tours to Umbria and the Maritime Alps, two destinations which return to the schedule after a four year absence.
The independent company runs small group European hiking tours that include gastronomic and cultural experiences. Most of the tours are in Italy, with a small number of tours crossing borders into France, Austria and Slovenia.
Alongside the hiking, tours may include anything from a cooking class and wine tasting to truffle hunting and visits to food festivals and markets. Hiking days are punctuated by gastronomic picnics and rounded off with superb dinners paired with the best local wines. Tours are graded 1-5 to suit all fitness levels.
