In a Sunshine State first, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas is bringing the floating breakfast to Queensland’s shores.
A mainstay of tropical holidays in the likes of Bali and The Maldives, Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Port Douglas is now bringing the experience closer to home – giving travellers to Far North Queensland a taste of the tropics down under.
Renowned for its two hectares of picturesque saltwater pools, Sheraton is giving guests yet another reason to kickstart their morning poolside.
Guests of the five-star beachfront resort can now enjoy an insta-worthy floating breakfast spread from one of the hotel’s sparkling saltwater lagoons, delivered to them on a floating wicker tray while they unwind in the warm water.
Breakfast starts with a continental spread of croissants with jam and butter, and a tropical fruit plate with Mungalli yoghurt.
Guests can then select from classic dishes such as: big breakfast burgers, coconut acai bowls, or smashed avocado. Alternatively, they can opt for a taste of the sea with Succulent ½ lobster with free-range scrambled eggs, chives and herb crumb on toasted Turkish bread.
The spread comes complete with tea or coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice.
The floating breakfast is exclusive to guests staying as part of the ‘Float into Paradise’ package which is a 3 night stay. Guests will enjoy accommodation in a spacious Mirage Studio Garden View Room featuring lush tropical garden views, and will receive a floating breakfast for two to enjoy, and buffet breakfast in Feast for the remainder of their stay.
Mirage Studio Garden View Rooms feature stylishly designed interiors reflective of the Port Douglas beachside surroundings, overlooking serene tropical garden views. Guests will enjoy a restful sleep on their Sheraton Signature Sleep Experience bed, waking up feeling refreshed for a day ahead in paradise. Generous marble bathrooms featuring walk-in rainforest showers, Gilchrist & Soames amenities, plush bathrobes and slippers complete the relaxing experience.
