d.HOLIDAY, a holiday dialysis program from Diaverum, is moving towards a fully digital and paperless booking experience. It now allows patients to upload and share required medical documents with their visiting clinic through the online booking platform, which could significantly reduce treatment approval and confirmation time. Patients still have the option to submit paperwork manually if they wish.

Michaela Blomstrand, Global Director of Patient Experience and Community Affairs, stated that the new feature of uploading medical documents on d.HOLIDAY booking platform simplifies the paperwork process and improves the patient experience. It also saves time for holiday coordinators, allowing them to focus on empowering patients to travel.

The safety and privacy of patients treated by Diaverum is a top priority, which is why the feature for uploading medical documents was introduced only after months of extensive preparations to ensure data privacy.

The medical document upload is one of many upgrades on the d.HOLIDAY platform. Other additions include filters that allow visitors to sort search results by clinic name, distance, and available shifts. Additionally, Diaverum is accelerating the deployment of localized d.HOLIDAY booking platforms in the countries where it operates. Spain, which is one of the top 5 preferred destinations for holiday treatments, launched the first localized platform in November 2022, with more countries to follow in 2023.
