Quotes from Australian Federation of Travel Agents (AFTA) CEO Dean Long
“As promised, AFTA is running in-person events around the country throughout the year to support the industry in reconnecting, learning and thriving. We want to celebrate what makes our industry great and continue to progress our advocacy agenda as we shape the future of Travel together.”
“Our Women in Travel Summit is our first event and is timed to allow participants to maximise their travel budgets by following the CLIA Awards also being held in Sydney that week.”
“We want to celebrate the fact that 72% of front-line employees are women and importantly 74% of our middle management positions are also held by women. This Summit promotes the value of diversity and inclusion and allows us to analysis how we continue our great travel culture.”
“The Women in Travel Summit will allow us to draw from and recognise the tremendous expertise and extensive experience across Australia’s Travel Sector through breakout sessions, industry leaders and key note speakers across the day long event.”
“We are constantly being asked by Government and other sectors what it is that Travel does differently and this summit will allow the industry to continue to evaluate what we do and plan for the future. Plus, on top of the learning and the networking, we’re going to have a whole lot of fun.”
