Greenland, IlulissatMSC Cruises’ polar cruise starts in the German homeport of Warnemunde (Berlin). It will take guests to Scotland’s wildest islands, such as the Orkneys (Kirwall) and the Isle of Lewis (Stornoway), before sailing to Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital city, where MSC Poesia will dock overnight.

Journeying between these bucket-list ports of call, MSC Poesia offers guests gourmet food, opulent spa and leisure facilities and a trio of swimming pools.

The cruise will continue north to discover Greenland’s majestic beauty in four ports of call: Prince Christian Sound, Nuuk, Ilulissat and Qaqortoq. Here guests will get their first glimpse of Iceland’s wonders and explore its uncompromising volcanic settings, spouting geysers, and magical waterfalls or take a relaxing dip in the Blue Lagoon.

Plunge into the culture, cuisine and natural splendour of the Arctic north on a magical cruise around Greenland, Iceland, Denmark and the Northerly coasts of the UK and Germany from July to August 2023. With ample time to spare, guests can explore nature and this island country’s remarkable history. Overnight in Ilulissat allows guests to discover some of Greenland’s most infamous natural marvels, such as the Sermermiut Icebergs and Kangia Icefjord.

In the wake of intrepid explorers, MSC Poesia will return to Iceland, Isafjordur in the remote West fjords region and Akureyri, the country’s second-largest city. Unique excursions include the discovery of tundra-covered Arctic scenery, cavernous fjords, and towering icebergs.

Experience nature at its best with a 21-night cruise aboard MSC Poesia. Catch sight of puffins and arctic foxes, go fjord kayaking or discover ancient Viking communities. Depending on the chosen cruise dates, MSC Poesia will touch Scotland on its return to Europe with a call at the Shetland Islands (Lerwik). The lively Danish capital of Copenhagen is the last stop on this cruise before returning to Germany’s Warnemunde port.
