Viking have announced the early release of their 2025 Egypt river season, sailing their highly popular Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary. With the 2023 season completely sold out and limited staterooms available for the 2024 season, the timely release provides a welcome opportunity for your clients to secure their preferred departure dates and stateroom category.

In response to the strong demand for the region, Viking have committed to the production of additional ships to service the region. Viking’s newest purpose built ship for the Nile the Viking Osiris launched in August this year, joining the Viking Ra, which launched in 2018. The Viking Aton, an identical sister ship to the Viking Osiris is set to join the fleet in 2023, with an additional two sister ships, the Viking Hathor and the Viking Sobek already under construction.

Viking’s 12-day, Pharaohs & Pyramids itinerary from Cairo return starts from $9,580 per person twin share for 2025 departures. During this voyage, guests begin with a three-night stay at a first-class hotel in Cairo, where they can visit iconic sites such as the Great Pyramids of Giza, the necropolis of Sakkara, the Mosque of Muhammad Ali, and the new long awaited Grand Egyptian Museum. Guests then fly to Luxor, where they visit the Temples of Luxor and Karnak before boarding a Viking river ship for an eight-day, round-trip voyage on the Nile River, featuring Privileged Access to the tomb of Nefertari in the Valley of the Queens and the tomb of Tutankhamun in the Valley of the Kings, and excursions to the Temple of Khnum in Esna, the Dendera Temple complex in Qena, the temples at Abu Simbel and the High Dam in Aswan. Guests also visit a colorful Nubian village, where guests can experience a traditional elementary school. Finally, the journey concludes with a flight back to Cairo for a final night in the ancient city.

To supplement these 2025 departures, pre and post cruise extensions in Jerusalem and Jordan have also been released. The 4-night Jerusalem pre cruise extension includes four nights hotel accommodation, eight meals, three guided excursions, flights from Tel Aviv to Cairo and all transfers from $3,199 per person. While the 4-night Jordan – Petra, Dead Sea & Amman post cruise extension includes four nights hotel accommodation, eight meals, four guided excursions, flights from Cairo to Amman and all transfers from $2,949 per person.
