P&O Cruises Australia and its elves have been very busy over the past few weeks wrapping over 300 Christmas gifts to be delivered to children of the South Pacific islands.
Continuing the pre-pandemic tradition of delivering Christmas presents to children in Vanuatu, the crew will distribute gifts when the annual Christmas Cruise visits Mystery Island, Port Vila and Luganville from 21 to 23 December.
According to Barry Nagia, Chairman Mystery Island Tourism Holdings, this is a huge event in the life of the children of the Aneityum.
“I still fondly remembers when I was a child and the cruise ship brought presents for all of us children. We have put the word out to neighbouring villages of Port Patrick and Umej to bring the young children to the island to meet Santa’s helpers,” said Nagia.
