Sail Croatia, a luxury small ship operator, has announced an exciting new itinerary for guests who want to stay active while on holiday – the Dubrovnik Return Hike Cruise.
With wellness goals front of mind this coming New Year, what better way to combine activity whilst indulging in luxury than on a Hike Cruise around the beautiful Croatian coast?
The new itinerary, launching in September 2023, will depart from and return to Dubrovnik, taking in seven different destinations during the week-long cruise.
The route covers almost 40km on foot (over 50K steps!) and will include three never-before-visited stops – Ŝipan, Ston and Kućište.
Hike Cruises offer active travellers the best of both worlds – the opportunity to relax in luxury at sea between island destinations, before scaling the stunning Croatian coastlines and villages to uncover breath-taking sights, including:
The Walls of Ston – the largest wall in Europe (5.5km), built in 1333. Ston is an incredible new destination, notable also for its impressive salt flats.
The views from the Pelješac Peninsula – the hike from Kućište to Nakovanj offers stunning views across the islands, as well as the opportunity to explore an abandoned stone village.
A visit to the village of Žrnovo in Korcula, where guests will have the opportunity to join a traditional pasta-making workshop and enjoy an authentic lunch experience.
The view of Dubrovnik Old Town from 778m above sea level! On day 7 of the cruise, guests will follow an old donkey trail up Mt Srd, which opens out at the top of the mountain overlooking Dubrovnik Old Town.
