Three new dates have been added to the pop up, which has become one of Tel Aviv’s most anticipated monthly events since June. Alon Shabo’s contemporary modernist creations are inspired by fashion, architecture, and design – which are perfectly suited to the extraordinary chapel at The Jaffa.
There is no better place to indulge in afternoon tea than at the Chapel, one of the most extraordinary spaces in the city, the former chapel of Sisters of St Joseph convent, now desanctified, with its marble floors, stunning powder blue vaulted ceilings and stained-glass windows.
Jaffa Hotel is located in a neo-Roman style building from the 19th century in the historic 4,000-year- old city of Jaffa. The hotel has undergone a 10-year renovation by London-based, minimalist architectural designer John Pawson and local architect Rami Gill. It now displays an elegant, refined, and contemporary look while retaining its raw and untouched features of the original building.
