Wild fjords almost 200km long, mighty glaciers, majestic icebergs, far-flung indigenous communities, rare wildlife, the largest deserted island in the world and 24-hour daylight thanks to the Midnight Sun feature in an adventurous sea journey through one of the world’s last frontiers – the wild High Arctic – from Greenland to Canada in July or August 2023.

Showcasing the spectacular natural wonderland of the remote Arctic, Cruise Traveller’s new and exclusive 13-night ‘High Arctic Explorer’ package (July 24 departure) begins with a complimentary flight from Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne to Toronto in Canada for a night’s stay, followed by a charter flight to Kangerlussuaq in Greenland to board Adventure Canada’s deluxe, 198-guest expedition ship, Ocean Endeavour for an 11-night voyage to Resolute Bay in Canada.

Bathed in the ever-present Midnight Sun, the voyage takes guests on a memorable journey through Greenland’s dramatic, 190km-long Kangerlussuaq Fjord – one of the longest fjords in the world, backed by towering peaks, as well as the stunning, iceberg-filled Ilulissat Icefjord which guests can explore closer aboard the ship’s Zodiacs.

To help Australians experience this once-in-a-lifetime northern summer voyage with eco-cruise company Adventure Canada, Australian small ship specialist Cruise Traveller offers free return flights to Canada and extensive savings of US$3886 per couple, almost half fares for solo travellers for bookings made by February 17, 2023.

Wildlife such as narwhal, beluga and bowhead whales can be spotted in the largest marine conservation area in Canada, Lancaster Sound, and two days will be spent exploring the vast, pristine wilderness of the largest uninhabited island on Earth – Devon Island – at over 50,000 square kilometres.

At the journey’s end in Resolute Bay, guests will fly to Ottawa for a night’s stay before a free flight back to Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne. And on Beechey Island, guests can see the graves of the men who lost their lives during Sir John Franklin’s ill-fated expedition to find the famed Northwest Passage in 1845.

Two departure dates are available – July 24 and the reverse itinerary on August 4, 2023. The journey continues west to Canada and the remote Arctic community of Mittimatalik to meet the hardy locals and watch a cultural presentation.
