For a taste of true Christmas spirit, Sydney’s hottest new fine-dining restaurant AALIA has partnered with world renowned Champagne house, Perrier-Jouët to open a pop-up Champagne bar at 25 Martin Place. Visitors to the precinct can enjoy a glass of invigorating French bubbly and a nightly line-up of live music along with a selection of Middle Eastern delights curated by Paul Farag, Executive Chef of AALIA.

“The celebrations at 25 Martin Place provide the perfect setting for locals and visitors to gather and enjoy this wonderful new precinct in Sydney’s CBD. We’ve created a truly indulgent experience here at AALIA where guests can immerse themselves in the sanctuary of the Perrier-Jouët pop-up bar – they can drop in for a quick refreshing drink or join us in restaurant for the full menu while gazing out at the spectacular Christmas tree in the plaza,” said Paul Farag.

“Since our inception AALIA has always sought to challenge boundaries through the unexplored and reimagined possibilities of Middle Eastern cuisine, says” Eleonore Wulf, Head Sommelier at AALIA.

“The progressive ethos behind Maison Perrier-Jouët has similarly been shaped by audacious choices, striving for the perfect balance between luxury, sustainability and sophistication. Naturally, when aligning ourselves with brand partners we want to build upon this culture of everyday extravagance, taking the guest on a journey of elevated sensations and experiences.”

Tonight, 25 Martin Place celebrated the launch of its first Christmas, with Kate Waterhouse lighting the spectacular, new 11-metre tall, Christmas tree adorned with gold and platinum medallions inspired by the architecture of Harry Seidler’s iconic destination.

“I am thrilled be part of this celebration at 25 Martin Place. Christmas is such a special time for me, and my family and the openings of these incredible luxury fashion brands is beyond exciting,” says Kate Waterhouse.

25 Martin Place welcomes the opening of luxury fashion house, Valentino Castlereagh Street Flagship store. Along with forthcoming openings to include Australian athleisure brand, Stylerunner, Brunello Cuccinelli, Missoni, Masons Sydney, Slowear and Alika jewellery boutique to the precinct.

“The next phase of the luxury retail offering at 25 Martin Place is set to reinvigorate the Sydney CBD day and night, as we lead into the festive season. Premium luxury retail brands will join the collection of carefully-curated restaurants and late-night bars already on offer, adding a contemporary and future-focussed edge to Sydney’s luxury lifestyle and retail precinct, where we bring together the best in world-class luxury shopping, dining, live entertainment and business.” said Amanda Pieriboni, Head of Transactions and Development – Retail, Healthcare and Alternates.

The 25 Martin Place multi-storey dining district and late-night bars overlooking the extravagant Christmas tree include an exciting mix of local and international cuisine. Spanning three levels, AALIA, Kazan, Botswana Butchery, L’uva, White + Wong’s and Cabana Bar are the perfect dining experiences to celebrate the festive season.

Following the $170 million transformation of the former MLC Centre, 25 Martin Place will form a centrepiece for festive season celebrations in Sydney’s CBD. The new luxury and premium brands on Castlereagh and King Streets, along with the refurbished Theatre Royal Sydney and a collection of refined restaurants and bars combine to create a cultural hub to gather and celebrate this Christmas.
