“Sustainability, of course, has been a growing priority for our ATMC members and their clients for some time as the sense of urgency in transitioning to more practical measures to move towards a net zero future picks up pace,” said Tass Messinis.
The Association of Travel Management Companies represents the top 22 corporate travel agencies in Australia, supporting 26,000 companies with an annual corporate travel spend pre-COVID of $6.5 Billion. It is also a powerful platform to reinforce the critical work Travel Management Companies have undertaken in partnership with clients to understand travel’s impact better and identify practical measures to increase sustainability.
With COP27 about to commence, the Association of Travel Management Companies (ATMC) is proud to be promoting sustainability as a core focus of members, with Chair Tass Messinis invited to lead a sector roundtable at the upcoming Impact X Summit in Sydney.
“I am delighted to be invited to attend Impact X Summit on behalf of our members and the companies they represent. The focus for the Summit from 9-11 November is accelerating action for a net zero, nature-positive future.
Leaders from business, government and innovation agencies are attending the Summit, which will also incorporate live sessions from COP27. This is a significant opportunity to be part of this critical dialogue alongside COP27’s focus on implementation.
